Cabin Steward / Cabin Cleaner
A cabin cleaner or cabin steward cleans cabins and other areas on board during the voyage and while the ship is in port. He or she also replaces and replenishes cabin equipment, bed linen, and towels, and makes the beds.
Education
Most commonly, employees are trained and introduced to the profession by the employer. A relevant vocational qualification in the field is a qualification in cleaning and property services. With experience, it is possible to complete a further vocational qualification as an institutional cleaner.
